Call for Respondents: Have You Experienced a Road Accident in Vienna?
The RAVE (Road Accident/Violence Events) project is currently conducting a study on road accidents in Vienna, with the aim of developing a more nuanced understanding of the complex factors that contribute to these events. As part of this study, we are seeking individuals who have experienced a road accident in or in near vicinity of the city of Vienna, whether as a pedestrian, cyclist, or driver.
If you have been involved in a road accident in Vienna and are willing to share your experiences, we invite you to participate in our study. As part of the study, you will be asked to participate in an ethnomethodological interview that will consist of two parts. The first part is a "go-along" interview where a trained researcher will accompany you to the site of the accident and you will be asked to describe the events and circumstances that led to the accident. The second part is a more traditional interview, conducted in a comfortable and private setting, where we will further explore your experiences and perceptions related to the accident.
Interviews will be conducted between April and September of this year and will take approximately 2-3 hours in total. Your participation in the study is voluntary and all information you provide will be kept confidential. As a token of our appreciation, we will provide a financial reward to compensate you for your time and effort.
If you are interested in participating in the study or would like more information, please contact us at carina.liersch@ihs.ac.at.
